Momentus Workflow Builder is a low-code integration platform that lets you build, customize, and deploy workflow automations without extensive technical expertise. Using a drag-and-drop interface and a library of pre-built connectors, Workflow Builder connects Momentus to the other tools your organization relies on, automates repetitive tasks, and unifies operations across departments.
In this article:
What You Can Do
Workflow Builder is designed to make integration accessible. With it you can:
- Automate manual processes such as payment reminders, invoice follow-ups, activity posting, BEO distribution, and event status notifications.
- Connect Momentus to external systems, including HubSpot, Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft 365, DocuSign, Power BI, and many others.
- Replace custom development and brittle RPA scripts with a Momentus-native, API-driven automation layer that your team can own and maintain.
- Migrate legacy scheduled jobs (such as Visual Studio scripts) into a centralized, visible, and reconfigurable environment.
- Build and deploy integrations significantly faster than custom development, going from concept to production in days rather than months.
- Test safely before going live using the built-in sandbox environment, so workflows are validated before they touch production data.
- Monitor and manage workflows through execution logs and notifications after deployment.
Common use cases include inquiry responses, smart contract tracking, payment automation, client engagement workflows, and scalable cross-department integrations.
How It Works
Building a workflow in Workflow Builder follows a straightforward process:
- Choose a trigger. Start your workflow with a webhook, a scheduled trigger, or a system event.
- Add actions and connectors. Drag pre-built connectors from the library to define what happens when the workflow runs.
- Configure your workflow. Set up data mappings, apply conditional logic, and tailor actions to your business requirements.
- Test your workflow.
- Deploy and monitor. Deploy to production and track execution through logs and notifications.
Who It Is For
Workflow Builder is built for users who own or support integration initiatives within their organization. To use Workflow Builder independently, you should meet the following minimum threshold:
- An understanding of trigger-action logic
- Prior experience with at least one API or integration tool (such as a REST API, webhook, middleware platform, or iPaaS solution like Zapier, Workato, or Azure Logic Apps).
Developers and Integration Leads are the primary users of Workflow Builder. These are developers, IT managers, system integrators, and business analysts with hands-on API and integration experience who build and maintain integrations on behalf of their organization. Workflow Builder enables them to build full system-to-system integrations, webhook-triggered multi-step workflows, and scheduled automations that would otherwise require custom development or third-party middleware. After setup, operations teams can monitor and interact with workflows without needing to rebuild them.
Operations and Business Users with direct experience working with APIs or integration tools and a solid understanding of trigger-action logic can also build and manage workflows in Workflow Builder. Familiarity with REST API concepts, webhooks, and data field mapping is required to configure workflows effectively. If your team does not currently have this technical grounding, we recommend involving a developer or IT resource as the primary builder.
