In this update:
- Remove Lost Events from Calendar Display
- Shadow Flag for Overlapping Base Space Bookings
- Enterprise Combo-in-Combo Support for Shadow Logic
Remove Lost Events from Calendar Display
OneView now reads the Event Status field from Elite webhooks in addition to Booking Status, ensuring lost events are no longer displayed on the calendar. When an event is marked as “Lost”, it is immediately removed from the OneView calendar, preventing outdated prospect events from appearing as active. If the event status later changes from Lost to a valid active status, the event will automatically reappear on the next webhook sync. This way Elite will provide real-time status updates as soon as an event is marked Lost/Cancelled.
For Enterprise customers, a reliability enhancement has been added: future events are pinged daily to validate status, and if the event returns a 404 (not found), it is treated as canceled and removed from OneView along with its related bookings. As this sync happens every at 12:00 UTC, some delays are expected.
This update improves calendar accuracy, ensures partners see real-time availability, and strengthens trust in shared booking data. No changes were made to space status logic outside of Lost event handling.
Shadow Flag for Overlapping Base Space Bookings
OneView now introduces a dynamic “Shadow” flag to prevent double-bookings across overlapping base spaces and combos. When a booking is received, the system identifies all base spaces involved and automatically flags any mapped spaces or combos that share those base spaces as unavailable. Shadowed spaces appear with a distinctive striped UI pattern in the calendar, clearly differentiating them from directly booked spaces.
The shadow flag activates and deactivates automatically based on booking overlaps and applies to both Elite and Enterprise integrations. It runs on every booking webhook to ensure real-time accuracy. If multiple overlapping bookings exist, the shadow remains active until all conflicts are resolved.
Using the Calendar has been updated for this new feature. See the Composite/Combo Spaces section.
Enterprise Combo-in-Combo Support for Shadow Logic
Building on the Shadow Flag enhancement, OneView now supports Enterprise combo-in-combo configurations, where combos can contain other combos. A new related table stores fully flattened base spaces for nested combo structures, ensuring accurate overlap detection even across multiple levels of nesting.
During shadow checks, the system retrieves all underlying base spaces for combo-in-combo entities and applies the same striped unavailable display when overlaps exist. This ensures true availability accuracy for venues with complex Enterprise configurations.
This enhancement applies only to Enterprise integrations (Elite does not support combo-in-combo structures) and remains backward compatible with standard combos.
